Another Perspective
Tutor: Alan Bond
3 day course

Course Outline:
Taking inspiration from barns and farm structures on site, this course encourages you to develop drawings using sketchbooks and photography without ‘copying’, creating your own perspectives. Alan introduces wet and dry drawing materials to develop rich surfaces in drawings made in the studio.
Starting with a walk and photographic and sketchbook tour around the buildings of Rabley including abandoned barns and working cowshed, this course utilises the digital camera as a creative resource for drawing alongside sketchbook studies. In the context of architectural drawing you will explore two main themes: through materials and composition the study of light and space and the uses and pitfalls of using photography as an aid to drawing, investigating how the two practices can be integrated.
