| Get up close and explore the ‘botanical landscape’ through drawing. Using a variety of materials Nik will encourage you to immerse yourself in the field using the rich flora and fauna habitat of the wayside and woodland surrounding Rabley. |

| Course Outline: |
This three day course will focus on the wayside and woodland surrounding Rabley Drawing Centre – a rich habitat for flora and fauna. Nik will encourage you to immerse yourself in the field, getting up close to the ‘Botanical Landscape’ and exploring it through drawing. Using a variety of materials the group will study individual plants and animals in context and their visual as well as ecological relationship to each other.

| About the Tutor: |
Nik Pollard’s work stems from his passion for the Natural world. He always begins with direct observation, interpreting what he sees into drawing, painting and printmaking. Nik has an MA in Natural History Illustration from the Royal College of Art. He has recently been resident artist at Marlborough College. He exhibits widely and often takes part in international projects that highlight areas of specific ecological interest.
