| Course Outline: |
On day one you will have the opportunity to draw in the 700 acres of Wiltshire downland surrounding Rabley Drawing Centre or develop imagery from your own sources and sketchbooks developing drawings imagery in preparation for woodcut printmaking with Meryl Ainslie MA Fine: Drawing. (Optional if you have done Emma’s ‘Big Landscape’ Course**) Days two and three are working with Emma Stibbon MA in the printroom developing your ideas into woodcut printmaking in monochrome and colour.

Emma Stibbon is well known for her dramatic and often large scale woodcuts and few could rival her expertise or technical ability. She exhibits nationally and internationally and recent awards include the prestigious Rome Scholarship (2010). | A multi-disciplinary approach to drawing underpins Meryl Ainslie’s sculptural installations and printmaking activity. Responding to our physical engagement with nature her work often takes on monumental scale – Meryl Ainslie has written and run unique drawing programmes at degree level. She studied MA Fine Art Drawing at Wimbledon School of Art and founded Rabley Contemporary Drawing Centre in 2005.
