Sara Lee - Sea Change

Rooted in a landscape tradition, Sara Lee's images are a response to the ephemeral nature of terrain; a gentle and evocative connection between what is known and what is imagined or remembered. New works include original works on paper and ukiyo-e method Japanese prints and large relief prints. Sara Lee studied Printmaking at Central School of Art. London.

Selected Exhibitions - Rabley Gallery: London Original Print Fair; Photo Ireland, Dublin; Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions. Selected Collections Golder: Thompson Collection; Swindon Museum and Gallery Collection; Otter Gallery, Univ. of Chichester Collection;UK, Tarma Univ. Collection, Tokyo.

Sea Change
Walking the coastal path of her native Wales, Lee absorbes every glimmer of the light penetrating the clouds.Within these subtle, atmopheric landscapes is a real love and understanding of seemingly unremarkable, but passively very beautiful greys over-looking the sea towards the horizon. There is a softness in her considered use of materials that envelops, nurtures and draws close.
